YOUTH AT VALLEY CROSSROADS
At some point, faith has to become more than something your parents, grandparents, pastor, or church believe.
You have questions. You are making decisions. You are figuring out who you are, what you believe, who you want around you, and what kind of life you want to build.
Valley Crossroads should be a place where you can know Jesus, ask honest questions, build meaningful relationships, and discover how God can use your life right now.
You do not need perfect faith.
You do not need perfect answers.
You do not need to know every Bible story.
You do not need to act like life is always good.
Church should be a place where you can:
and become more of who God created you to be.
Real people. Real faith. Real community.
Questions do not have to be the enemy of faith.
Parents, pastors, teachers, grandparents, and mentors can help guide you.
But nobody else can have a relationship with Jesus for you.
There comes a point when you begin asking:
Who is Jesus to me?
Can I trust Scripture?
Why do I believe what I believe?
What do I do with doubt?
What does God want from my life?
How does faith connect to the world I actually live in?
We want youth to explore biblical truth honestly, pray, worship, ask questions, and develop a personal relationship with Jesus that can stand when life gets complicated.
Faith should connect to more than what happens inside church.
Biblical truth should help you navigate:
identity
friendships
family
school
pressure
relationships
choices
social media
success
failure
purpose
temptation
justice
compassion
the future
and the person you are becoming.
Do not reduce Christianity to rules.
Show that Scripture offers wisdom, truth, grace, direction, and hope for real life.
Adventist Youth Ministries recognizes that young people grow in more than one area at a time.
Healthy youth ministry should encourage growth that is balanced, grounded in community, and attentive to every facet of life:
Growing in your relationship with Jesus.
Learning to think, ask questions, understand Scripture, and make wise decisions.
Learning honesty, resilience, grace, healthy boundaries, and how to navigate difficult seasons.
Caring for your body and developing healthy habits.
Building healthy friendships and learning how to live in community with others.
School. · Work. · Sports. · Activities. · Phones. · Notifications. · Social pressure. · Expectations. · Plans for the future.
Young people feel the pace and pressure of life too.
Time to slow down. · Worship. · Connect. · Think. · Ask questions. · Rest. · Spend time with people.
Remember who you are. And remember that your worth is bigger than what you achieve.
Faith should bring peace, not pressure.
Adventist Youth Ministry began because young people decided they wanted their faith to do something.
That same idea still matters.
God can use your life now.
ideas · gifts · creativity · energy · questions
skills · compassion · influence
and a perspective the church needs.
“Youth should not simply watch adults do ministry.”
serve · lead · welcome people · pray
create · help · participate in worship
care about your community · share your faith
and make a difference.

The Adventist youth movement was built around prayer, discipleship, service, and mission. Following Jesus means learning to notice people.
Care.
Serve.
Stand for what is right.
Show compassion.
Share hope.
Use your gifts.
And help people experience the love of Jesus.
The love of Christ compels us to move.
Everybody needs people.
Not followers.
Not likes.
Not people who only know the version of you they see online.
Real people.People who can laugh with you. Pray with you. Tell you the truth. Encourage you. Challenge you. Show up. And remind you who you are when life gets difficult.
Healthy Christian community does not mean everybody is the same.
It means learning how to follow Jesus together.
Teenagers need room to ask questions, develop healthy relationships, discover their gifts, make meaningful decisions, and develop a personal relationship with Jesus.
Parents and caregivers remain deeply important in that journey.
Our desire is to come alongside families, not replace them, as young people learn what it means to live their faith in the real world.
Working with young people is both a privilege and a serious responsibility.
Valley Crossroads volunteers are screened through LiveScan.
Our goal is to create environments where young people are treated with care, dignity, respect, and appropriate supervision.
We’re looking forward to more opportunities to worship, connect, serve, ask questions, and grow together.
Planning Center Calendar is our source of truth for public events.
You do not need perfect faith.
You do not need all the answers.
You do not need to already know everyone.
Come worship.
Meet some people.
Ask your questions.
Bring a friend.
Take your time.
Grow.
Serve.
Discover what following Jesus could look like in your life.
